SDGP Professional course is a double degree program chaired by UNESCO. The course allows the students to work for the accomplishment of sustainable development goals and at the same time research in the field of their interest. Documents Required for MEXT Scholarship
You will be required to submit the following documents in both soft and hard form so start preparing these documents well in advance.
- Transcript
- Degree
- Research Plan
- Health Certificate
- Application (SOP) for the Scholarship
- Recommendation Letters
Note: If in case, you do not want to submit the original degree and transcript you may submit colored copies of the degree and transcripts however these need to be attested by HEC or some other government body. Copies attested by the previous university will not be acceptable.
Application procedure for MEXT Scholarship
Select the Field of Interest: Check the application website. Select the major and field of research. Go through the qualification requirements for that major.
Contacting Professors and University: The University has several laboratories. Select the laboratory where you want to carry out your research. Contact the professor of that laboratory and show your interest. If he/she is willing to accept you, contact the admissions office.
Assessment of Application Qualifications: First you must send your educational documents through email. Once the university declares your eligibility you will need to send documents through the courier and pay the examination fee. The examination fee will be refunded to MEXT scholars.
Examination & Interview: There will be an online interview where a panel will ask technical questions about the field you selected.
Result: Based on your interview performance, the university will nominate you for the MEXT scholarship. The final decision will be announced by MEXT in June or July 2025.
